Museo Néstor and its collection

Museo Néstor

Museo Néstor (The Néstor Museum) is a pinacoteca in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria that exhibits most of the work of the Gran Canarian artist Néstor Martín-Fernández de la Torre. The museum is housed in 'Pueblo Canario', an architectural ensemble that was an idea by Nestor himself and designed and realized by his brother Miguel, whose buildings recall the traditional Canarian architecture. The museum contains eleven exhibition spaces that house the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. The permanent collection of the museum is composed of the work of Néstor de la Torre and is grouped according to a thematic order.
