The Museum of the Battle of Ortona, also known as MUBA, is situated in the former convent of Sant'Anna on Via Garibaldi in Ortona, in the province of Chieti. The museum is dedicated to the Battle of Ortona, a significant event during the Second World War. This location provides a historical context to the exhibits and offers visitors a unique insight into the events of the war.

Renovation and Additions to the Museum

In 2018-19, the Museum of the Battle of Ortona underwent a renovation. The renovation included the addition of multilingual signage on the walls, providing detailed information about the phases of the Battle of Ortona from December 18-20, 1943. Additionally, a large model of the city of Ortona before the war was installed in the last room. This model was funded by the Royal Edmonton Regiment and was inaugurated on June 1, 2019.
