The Cheminot Museum in Ambérieu-en-Bugey offers a unique insight into the history of the railway industry and its impact on the town. Conservation of Railway Heritage Archives
The Cheminot Museum is not only a place of exhibition but also a conservatory of railway heritage archives. It houses the PLM fund (1850-1975), which includes important documentation on the PLM and SNCF periods of the depot and the Ambérieu-en-Bugey station, complete with plans and photos. Additionally, it has a collection of oral archives from the SNCF Traction service, carried out in 1981.
