Museum of Ethnography

The Ethnographic Museum is a national museum in Budapest that is housed in a building that was originally built by Alajos Hauszmann for the Ministry of Justice. The Museum of Ethnography holds a collection that comprises around 200,000 items, 140,000 Hungarian and 60,000 foreign. In addition to traditional costumes, furniture and tools, the collection also includes the extensive folk music collections of Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály, both Hungarian composers.
