Collection of the Museum

The Museum of Jewellery in the Vía de la Plata boasts a collection that has been gathered over more than four decades. It comprises over 3000 pieces of jewellery dating from the 16th to the 18th century, as well as traditional Spanish costumes from the 19th century. The collection particularly highlights pieces from the Vía de la Plata and the province of León.

Manila Shawls

A significant part of the museum's collection is the Manila shawl, a traditional Spanish costume piece. The museum houses an important collection of these shawls, some of which feature small heads made of mother-of-pearl or ivory.
