The National Museum of Finland (SUomen Kansallismuseo) is a museum in Helsinki on Finnish history from prehistory to the present. Besides this, the museum holds and exhibits a large collection of excavations of the Mesa Verde culture. The building that houses the museum was designed by architects Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren and Eliel Saarinen in neoclassical style and based on the many medieval churches and castles in Finland. It was built from 1905 to 1910 and opened its doors in 1916.

Visitors consistently praise the museum's well-organized exhibits and the breadth of artifacts on display. The building itself, with its impressive architecture, adds to the overall experience.

Highlights of the museum include the prehistoric section, which provides insights into Finland's ancient past, and the medieval church artifacts. Many reviewers appreciate the detailed information provided in both Finnish and English, making it accessible to international visitors.

The museum's strengths lie in its ability to present Finland's cultural heritage in a clear, engaging manner. Interactive elements and audiovisual presentations enhance the visitor experience, particularly in the more modern sections.
