The National Museum of Oriental Art "Giuseppe Tucci" in Rome presented works of art from the Middle East to Japan. The museum was founded in 1957 and since 2005 it was named after Giuseppe Tucci, who collected many of the exhibits on his travels between 1928 and 1948. The museum had a collection of Gandhara culture artefacts from archeological missions of the Italian Institute for the Middle and Far East.
