The Neue Nationalgalerie is the Berlin art museum of the twentieth century with an art collection from classical and modern to the art of the sixties. The museum is located at the Kulturforum. The museum building with its square shape was designed by the famous functionalist architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and is considered one of the classics of modern architecture. Cubism, Expressionism, the Bauhaus and Surrealism are especially well represented in the collection of the New National Gallery (Neue Nationalgalerie).
