After being severely damaged during the war, this Neues Museum (re)opened its doors to the public in 2009. It now shows huge collections of Egyptian art, prehistoric objects, and classical antiquities. One of the highlights of the museum is the bust of the Egyptian queen Nefertiti. The Neues Museum also organizes a number of public tours and workshops. The museum itself is built in the Neoclassical style. Interestingly, this building was the first in Berlin which was constructed with the help of a steam engine.

Superb museum! There is a lot to see so be sure to make a list of things you want to see! The Bust of Nefertiti is their crown jewel, so be sure to at least include that. Try to arrive early and if you can, try to arrange a tour for some more inside information! Recommended!
