The Palazzo Carducci Artenisio in Taranto is a significant historical site, built in 1650 by Ludovico Carducci. This palace is one of the main aristocratic residences in the city, reflecting the grandeur of the Carducci family, who were descendants of a noble Florentine lineage. The entrance to the palace is located in Vico I Seminario.
The Palazzo Carducci Artenisio has managed to preserve many of its original noble features. Visitors can appreciate the fine decorations and furnishings that adorn the palace, offering a glimpse into the aristocratic lifestyle of the past. The palace's interiors have been restored, but they still maintain their typical noble characteristics.
A monumental double-ramp staircase in the Palazzo Carducci Artenisio leads to a balcony that introduces the noble apartment. Here, visitors can admire rooms adorned with precious furniture and ceramics. The palace also houses paintings of considerable value, including 12 oval paintings by the painter Cesare Fracanzano. These paintings represent the saints to whom the Carducci family was devoted.
