Port des Lumières, located in the heart of Hamburg's HafenCity, is an immersive digital art exhibition center. It is situated in the new Westfield Überseequartier and was officially inaugurated on April 8, 2025. This location offers a unique experience for art enthusiasts and tourists alike, providing a deep dive into the world of digital art.
Port des Lumières is recognized as the first permanent and the largest exhibition house for digital art in Northern Germany. It hosts a variety of rotating exhibitions that digitally and immersively present the life and work of artists from different eras. This unique approach to art presentation offers a new perspective for visitors, making it a noteworthy stop for those interested in art and culture.
The exhibitions at Port des Lumières are created through the interaction of 80 video projectors and 50 audio distribution points. This setup enables a 360° immersive experience on a 3200 m² projection surface. The innovative use of technology enhances the visitor's experience, making each visit a unique journey through the world of digital art.
