The Municipal Museum Peter Benoit is dedicated to the Flemish composer and music educator Peter Benoit (1834-1901). The story is told by five women, Benoit's mother, his wife and his lovers. They illuminate Peter Benoit's life from their own point of view. Sound showers bring music by Benoit and colleagues, and a film reflects on his international significance. In the birthplace next to the museum, the poverty-stricken living conditions of 1834 are shown.
