Constructed in 1835, the Tefft-Steadman House is a faithful implementation of a design from Minard Lafever's pattern-book. This adds to the authenticity of the house's Greek Revival style. In recognition of its historical and architectural value, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
Today, the Tefft-Steadman House is operated as a local history museum by the Marcellus Historical Society. Visitors can explore the house and learn about its history and the broader history of the Marcellus area. The museum offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience the past firsthand.
