The Yorkshire Museum and Gardens is a museum in York that holds five permanent collections of national importance covering biology, geology, archaeology, numismatics and astronomy. One of the highlights of the museum is a well-preserved Viking sword. The York Museum Gardens are botanic gardens designed in a gardenesque style, with various species of plants, trees and birds.
