The Zijper Museum is the very starting point where the history of polder the Zijpe comes alive. Visitors learn many remarkable facts about one of Hollands oldest polders in a modern, interactive manner. In the permanent exposition history is presented through objects, maps, movies and animations. Parts of it are further outlined in temporary expositions which change on a yearly basis. Both the Niestadt and the Ter Beziens photo collection provide unique historical photographs. Due to its extensive library, many digital resources and online image material the museum also acts as an information centre for the history of polder the Zijpe.
