Zoutmuseum Delden is situated in the gardens of castle Twickel, on the grounds where salt was found in the soil in 1886. The museum illustrates the history of this treasure. In the permanent exhibition various topics on salt are covered such as salt mining, the formation of salt layers and the symbolism of salt. The museum owns a collection of over two thousand saltshakers, of which some are exhibited in the museum.
