The Zwiesel Forest Museum, located at Kirchplatz 3 in Zwiesel, is a cultural and natural history museum. It is situated in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen, offering visitors a unique insight into the region's rich cultural and natural history.
The Zwiesel Forest Museum is housed in a building that was once a girls' school run by the English Misses. The exhibits are labeled in both German and Czech, making it accessible to a wide range of visitors.
In 2014, the Forest Museum underwent another revision in terms of content and design. It was moved to the former girls' school building on Kirchplatz, conveniently located next to the neo-Gothic church of St. Nicholas.
The museum extends over three floors, providing ample space for its exhibits. The main focus of the museum is on the cultural and natural history of the Bavarian Forest, the topic of glass, and the history of the city of Zwiesel.
