The Czech Republic, or the Czechia is a country in Central Europe. The capital is Prague, where most museums and theaters can be found. Here you will find the National Museum and the National Theater, as well as large churches, including the St. Vitus Cathedral. In addition, the Rudolfinum concert hall is famous and known as the home stage of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.

The country has about 2,000 castles and monuments and more than 40 protected historical places. Twelve places in the country are on the UNESCO World Heritage List: the historical center of Prague, Český Krumlov, Telč and Kutná Hora, the pilgrimage church of Saint John of Nepomuk, the cultural landscape of Lednice-Valtice, the historic village of Holašovice, the gardens and the castle of Kroměříž, the castle of Litomyšl, The column of the Holy Trinity in Olomouc, the Tugendhat villa in Brno and the Jewish quarter and St. Procopius Basilica in Třebíč.
