Jenolan Caves, located in the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales, Australia, is one of the most significant and oldest cave systems in the world. These limestone caves, formed approximately 340 million years ago, feature a complex network of multi-level passages and chambers stretching over 40 kilometers.

The caves have been a major tourist destination since the late 19th century and hold great cultural significance for both Indigenous and European Australian history. The Gundungurra people, the traditional owners of the land, knew the caves as 'Binomil' or 'Bindo' and considered them a place of healing.

Today, the caves are protected within the Jenolan Karst Conservation Reserve and offer visitors the opportunity to explore various cave formations, underground rivers, and unique geological features. The site also maintains historical importance through its grand Jenolan Caves House, built in 1897, which exemplifies late Victorian architecture.
