Lee-on-the-Solent is a seaside town situated on the coast of Hampshire, England, overlooking the Solent strait.

The town has a significant aviation heritage, having been home to HMS Daedalus, a former Royal Naval Air Station that operated from 1917 to 1996. Today, part of this historic site houses the Fleet Air Arm Museum's Hovercraft Museum, which preserves and displays various hovercraft and related artifacts.

The town features a pleasant marine parade and promenade, popular with locals and visitors for walking and enjoying views across to the Isle of Wight. Lee-on-the-Solent maintains its character as a relatively quiet residential area, with its cultural identity closely tied to its maritime and aviation history.
