Port Burwell is a small community located on the north shore of Lake Erie in Ontario, Canada. The village was established in the 1830s and named after Mahlon Burwell, who surveyed much of southwestern Ontario.

The community has a rich maritime history, centered around its historic lighthouse built in 1840, which remains one of the oldest wooden lighthouses on the Canadian Great Lakes. Port Burwell was once a significant commercial port and shipbuilding center during the 19th century. Today, the village maintains its historical charm and is known for the Port Burwell Marine Museum and Historic Lighthouse, which preserves and showcases the area's nautical heritage. The community also features the HMCS Ojibwa, a cold-war era submarine that serves as a unique museum ship and educational facility.
