Sayula is a historic town located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Situated in a valley surrounded by mountains, the town has a rich cultural heritage dating back to pre-Hispanic times.

The area is known for its salt production from the nearby dry lake bed, which has been an important economic activity since ancient times.
