Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock is a town located in the district of Gütersloh in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The municipality was formed in 1970 through the merger of the formerly independent communities of Schloß Holte and Stukenbrock. The town's name derives from the historic Holte Castle (Schloss Holte), which dates back to the 13th century and remains an important cultural landmark in the region.
During World War II, the area was the site of Stalag 326, a German prisoner of war camp, which is now maintained as a memorial and documentation center, serving as an important historical site for education and remembrance.
Today, Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock is known for combining historical heritage with modern development, featuring both cultural sites and natural attractions, including the popular Safariland Stukenbrock, a wildlife park and leisure facility.
