Woodstock is a historic market town in Oxfordshire, England, located about 8 miles northwest of Oxford. The town is perhaps best known for its connection to Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The town itself dates back to the Saxon times and was once a royal forest.

Throughout its history, Woodstock has been a center for glove making and other leather industries. Today, the town maintains its historical character with numerous Georgian buildings lining its streets. The town center features several notable buildings including the Town Hall, built in the 18th century, and the Church of St Mary Magdalene, which dates from the 14th century. The proximity to Blenheim Palace has made Woodstock a significant cultural destination, attracting visitors interested in both British history and architecture.
