World Golf Village is a planned community located in St. Johns County, Florida, approximately 20 miles south of Jacksonville. The development is centered around golf and is notably home to the World Golf Hall of Fame, which opened in 1998. This complex serves as a cultural center dedicated to preserving and honoring the history of golf.
The community features two championship golf courses: the King & Bear, the only course in the world co-designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, and the Slammer & Squire, designed by Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. Beyond golf, the area includes residential neighborhoods, hotels, restaurants, and shopping facilities. The World Golf Village showcases both the sporting heritage and cultural significance of golf in American society.
