The Groeninge Museum is housed in a modernist museum building from the 1930s. The museum mainly exhibits works by Belgian painters from the 14th to the 20th century, from before the Flemish Primitives to modern art. The collection includes work by Bram Bogart, Hieronymus Bosch, Jean Brusselmans, Petrus Christus, Emile Claus, Gerard David, Paul Delvaux, Gustave De Smet, James Ensor, Fernand Khnopff, René Magritte, Hans Memling, Permeke, Pieter Pourbus, Roger Raveel, Hugo van der Goes, Rogier van der Weyden, Gustave van de Woestyne, Jan van Eyck and Rik Wouters.

Het Groeningemuseum is ene museum met waardevolle werken van de Vlaamse primitieven tot kunstenaars uit de moderne tijden. Werken zijn er ingedeeld in zalen volgens de periode waarin ze zijn gemaakt. Alleen al voor de werken van Van Eyck moet je aan dit museum een bezoek brengen. Een must voor als je in Brugge bent!
