Exhibition 'Exhibition: Arjan Paijers – An abstract world' in Koppelkerk - art & culture
From September 27 to November 9, the Koppelkerk in Bredevoort will be exhibiting the work of Arjan Paijers in its upper room. “When I paint, I never know in advance what the painting will ultimately look like. My art begins to exist as soon as I paint the first strokes. From that moment on, a dialogue between the canvas and me begins, and an abstract world comes to life.”
Arjan Paijers (1983) was born and raised in Groenlo, studied art in Zwolle, and now lives in Lievelde. Over the years, his work has been exhibited at various locations, such as galleries, town halls, festivals, and museums. Some highlights include group exhibitions at the University of Osnabrück (2008) and Stedelijk Museum Zwolle (2009), Koppelkerk Bredevoort (2022), and Villa Mondriaan Winterswijk (2024). In 2022, Arjan Paijers' work made it onto national television when he reached the final of the TV program De Nieuwe Vermeer.
