Exhibition 'Septemberkunst | September Art' in Koppelkerk - art & culture
The Stichting Art Aalten (Aalten Art Foundation) organizes September Art every two years. On the weekends of September 5 and September 12, 53 artists will exhibit their work in Aalten, Bredevoort, Dinxperlo, and Suderwick. The works will be on display at venues including the Koppelkerk in Bredevoort and KuKuG Kubaai in Bocholt.
During the weekend of September 5 and 6, the artists will guide visitors along an art route featuring the works. The route booklet is available on the Septemberkunst website.
This exhibition, which has already had eight successful editions, offers (semi-)professional artists and advanced amateurs—who live in or around the municipality of Aalten, work there, or have a special connection to the municipality—the opportunity to exhibit their work individually or in groups in their own studios and/or external exhibition spaces.
Septemberkunst appeals to both participants and visitors alike due to its emphasis on originality, innovation, and quality in the artists’ work.
Art Aalten Foundation
The Art Aalten Foundation, Platform for Visual Arts Aalten, Bredevoort, Dinxperlo, was established on March 17, 2009. The foundation’s goal is to promote an active arts scene in the municipality of Aalten by initiating and encouraging activities in the field of visual arts. To this end, the foundation maintains a website, a route guide, and a brochure. Through “Septemberkunst,” the Art Aalten Foundation aims to make art accessible to as broad an audience as possible.
