Exhibition 'Verdwalen' in MOW I Museum Westerwolde
Experiencing the Groningen landscape on foot allows you to engage with it through all your senses.
Each season offers new impressions, each path new discoveries. Walking is an intimate way to experience your surroundings in all their richness and diversity and to become truly familiar with them.
Connecting with the land
Modern society often focuses on speed and productivity. We rarely take the time to slow down and let the landscape truly speak to us. Walking sparks curiosity, it invites you to explore nature, history, stories, and the unique character of the place you’re in.
Exhibiting artists
Over 30 artists ventured outdoors especially for Getting Lost, capturing their impressions in surprising paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, installations, and digital presentations.
Get more out of the exhibition
A cozy picnic spot within the exhibition invites visitors to share their walking experiences.
Young visitors can grab a backpack and follow their own exciting "lost route" through the museum galleries.
Strolling or speed-walking? In the museum forest, you’re free to experiment with all the ways walking can be experienced.
Step outside!
