The Helsinki Zoo (Korkeasaaren eläintarha, Högholmen djurpark) is the largest zoo in Finland. The zoo is located on the island of Korkeasaari, a 22-hectare rocky island, connected to Helsinki. The Helsinki Zoo is home to around 200 animal species, and about a 1000 plant species, all divided geographically to Amazonia, Africasia and Borealia. The zoo is mainly home to mammals and birds, but also features reptiles, fish and invertebrates.
Hello zoo of Helsinki I'm from Ofagbe town in delta state, Nigeria and I found one of your birds, it's an Eagle with a ring With serial M-63702 though it dead now, please if it is of importance, kindly let me know on my email firstname.lastname@example.org
The Helsinki zoo is situated on an island. We went there with the ferry which is a nice way of traveling. With the Helsinki Card we got a little bit of discount. The zoo has a nice and quiet atmosphere, which helped us to really enjoy watching the animals and the nature on the island. The island is the zoo’s greatest feature though. The animals in the zoo are not that special. Nonetheless a recommended attraction to visit when you are in Helsinki!
