Amos Rex is an art museum that opened in 2018 in Helsinki. It is a museum of visual arts and is the largest private art museum in Finland. The museum owes its name to the newspaper magnate Amos Anderson, owner of the Swedish-language Finnish newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet. The collection of the Amos Rex Museum comprises around 6,000 works, mainly paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and photographs. The museum focuses on 20th-century art.
