The Eskişehir Republic History Museum, also known as the Anadolu University Republic History Museum, is situated in the Odunpazarı region. This museum was inaugurated by Anadolu University on April 23, 1994. It offers a unique opportunity to delve into the history of the Republic era of Turkey.
The ground floor of the museum is a treasure trove of historical artifacts. It houses 131 photographs related to the early years of the Republic, the Çanakkale Wars, Congresses, the Grand National Assembly, the İnönü Wars, the Sakarya War, the Great Offensive. Additionally, there are 51 portraits of Atatürk, pictures related to the Turkish War of Independence and revolutions, models of 7 ships used in the Turkish navy during the First World War, the War of Independence and the Republican period, and a cart.
The first floor of the museum is dedicated to Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. It contains 126 items that belonged to him. Additionally, there are local newspapers from the period of 1925-1980, providing a glimpse into the past. The floor also houses a library, offering a wealth of information for those interested in the history of the Republic era.
