The August Wilson African American Cultural Center is a nonprofit arts organization located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Facilities at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center

The August Wilson African American Cultural Center is situated on Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District. The center houses galleries, classrooms, a 500-seat theater, a gift shop, a cafe, and numerous multi-purpose spaces for visual and performing art.

Name Change of the Center

In February 2019, the center underwent a name change from the August Wilson Center for African American Culture to the August Wilson Cultural Center. However, following an online petition objecting to the removal of "African American" from its name, the center was renamed the August Wilson African American Cultural Center the following month.
