The Austrian National Library is considered one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, containing 7.4 million items. It is divided into a library and a museum. The library includes all kinds of books from research, history, religion to modern literature. With the oldest book being the Holy Gospels from 1368. The museum has various temporary exhibitions related to the history of Vienna and the Habsburgs (who were one of the influencers of that time). The State Hall, which is a part of the library, is an astounding, 80 metres long hall with various frescos. The library part of the building is not open to tourists.
