La Casa del Carnaval, located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, is a museum dedicated to the city's renowned carnival. This event has been recognized as a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest, attracting visitors from all over the world. The museum provides an in-depth look into the history and cultural significance of this vibrant celebration.
Exhibition Areas in the Museum
The museum features two exhibition areas. The Sala Suspi is used for temporary exhibitions and also serves as an auditorium. The permanent exhibition area showcases the costumes of the winning groups from the current carnival. Visitors can also learn about the history of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife through thematic videos, touch screens, and virtual reality glasses.
Visiting Hours
La Casa del Carnaval is open to visitors all year round from 10:00 to 18:30 hours, providing ample opportunity to explore the museum. However, please note that the museum is closed on December 25, January 1, and January 6.
