The Chester Beatty Library was opened in 1968 under the will of the late Sir Alfred Chester Beatty. The library is one of Irelands most favoured National Cultural Institutions. The Chester Beatty Library has all resources one might need to understand different cultures of the world. Several temporary and permanent exhibitions have been brought to the world through international collaborations. Some of the libraries permanent collections include Muraqqa, Shahnama and Chester Beatty’s A to Z and international collections include Leonardo, Rembrandt and Matisse.
