The Industrieviertel Museum was established by its initiator and former director, Karl Flanner. He was able to create a museum with a focus on the industrial quarter, which was opened to the public in 1982.

Relocation of the Industrieviertel Museum

Following the sale of the property at Anna-Rieger-Gasse, all museum collections were thoroughly checked and inventoried. The museum is currently in the process of moving to a show depot in the city center. This move is expected to be completed in 2022.
