The Museum der Koninklijke Marechaussee is housed in a former Royal Orphanage. The museum is dedicated to the Royal Marechaussee and covers the time between its establishment to the present. It ranges from military police in Napoleonic uniforms from 1814 to the troopers now. The museum illustrates the different periods and the corresponding police troops and the ‘rijkspolitie’ and ‘gemeentepolitie’. Motorcycles, jeeps and other vehicles are on display in an outbuilding.
