Museum De Koloniehof was dedicated to the work of the Society of Humanitarianism. This organization fought against poverty in the agricultural colonies in the 19th century by providing housing, education, employment and health care. The museum illustrated the settlers’ lives of some two hundred years ago. There was also a sculpture garden where various exhibitions are organized. Visit the Museum De Proefkolonie instead.
