The National Museum of Old Maps and Books is housed in a villa built in the 1920's. The main collection of the museum was donated by the family of Professor Adrian Năstased and is enriched with other donations of graphic works and maps. The collections consists of more than 1000 works from the 16th to the 20th century, including maps of the regions inhabited by Romanians, continents of the world, astronomical maps and city plans. Besides this, the National Museum of Old Maps and Books displays pieces of art with landscapes, portraits and traditional costumes.
