The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is an art museum in Copenhagen that holds and displays a collection built around the collection of the Danish beer magnate Carl Jacobsen, with especially antique sculpture from the ancient cultures around the Mediterranean, including Egypt, Rome and Greece. Apart from the collection of antiquities, the museum also contains a collection of French and Danish art. A highlight is the collection of sculpture by Auguste Rodin. Other important works displayed here include paintings and sculptures by the French post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin.
