Protected by UNESCO, this historical complex was designed and constructed by Sir Christopher Wren between 1696 and 1712. Originally built as a hospital, it closed in 1869 and between 1873 and 1998, it was turned into a training establishment for the Royal Navy (as the Royal Naval College). The grounds and some of its buildings are open to visitors.
