Revenue Museum and its collection

The Revenue Museum is a small museum located in the crypt of the Chapel Royal in Dublin Castle. The museum occupies a small room. Just through the entrance of The Revenue Museum, you will see signs which tell you what to do and where to go. It has cabinets full of historical display items which were seized by the revenue officers in the past. The Revenue Museum also features some instructive video games. Among the many exhibits there is a stamp duty machine, the first set of Exchequer Returns for Saorstát Éireann, examples of counterfeit goods and endangered species seized at ports.
