The Fan Museum

The Fan Museum is housed in two grade II* listed houses built in 1721 and is the first museum in the world devoted to the preservation and display of fans. The collection of the museum consists of more than 5,000 fans, fan leaves, and related ephemera with examples from all over the world from the 11th century to the present day. Besides the museum, there is an orangery decorated with murals and a Japanese-style garden with a fan-shaped parterre.
