The Yorkshire Air Museum is the largest independent air museum in the UK. Based in the grounds of the former RAF Elvington WW2 base, the Museum is home to the Allied Air Forces Memorial and was the wartime home of No 77 Squadron RAF and also the only two bomber squadrons made up of French personnel. More than 40 exhibits including the UK's only complete Halifax bomber, the only Dassault Mirage IV nuclear jet outside of France and wide range of other incredible machines. The theme for 2023 is ' Minutes To Midnight - Hot Jets in the Cold War'.
