Speelgoedmuseum Deventer is housed in two 14th century houses. The collection consists of toys that were used in the Netherlands, and consists of more than 13,000 objects. The collection includes excavated toys from the 13th century, but also modern toys. Themes that recur are trains and mechanical toys, games, children's books and prints, dolls, doll houses, construction toys, outdoor toys and optical toys.

The museum is closed on Easter Sunday, King's Day, Whit Sunday, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. On December 5, 24, and 31, the museum closes at 4:00 PM.

    Een aantrekkelijk museum voor jong en oud. In een gebouw met aparte kamers, zodat je steeds iets nieuws ontdekt. Oók de recente geschiedenis heeft een plaats. Voor volwassenen een feest van herkenning. Voor kinderen valt er van alles te beleven. Het is niet ruim, een kinder- of wandelwagen moet beneden blijven. Zeker een aanrader!
