Speelgoedmuseum Deventer is housed in two 14th century houses. The collection consists of toys that were used in the Netherlands, and consists of more than 13,000 objects. The collection includes excavated toys from the 13th century, but also modern toys. Themes that recur are trains and mechanical toys, games, children's books and prints, dolls, doll houses, construction toys, outdoor toys and optical toys.
