Villa Tugendhat and its collection

Villa Tugendhat

Villa Tugendhat is a historical building in Brno and is one of the most fascinating examples of functionalist architecture designed by the genius Mies van der Rohe. The villa was built for Fritz Tugendhat and his wife Greta between 1928 and 1930 created with reinforced concrete. It is the only example of modern architecture in the Czech Republic on the list of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites. The interiors have been equipped with exact replicas of the original furnishings.
