Chantilly is a historic town located in the Oise department of northern France, approximately 50 kilometers north of Paris. The town is primarily known for its magnificent Château de Chantilly, a historic castle that houses the Musée Condé, one of France's most important art collections.
The estate also includes the Great Stables (Grandes Écuries), which were built in the 18th century and now host the Living Museum of the Horse. Chantilly has a rich cultural heritage closely tied to French aristocracy and equestrian traditions. The town is also famous for creating Crème Chantilly, the sweetened whipped cream that bears its name. The surrounding Chantilly Forest adds to the town's picturesque setting and provides a natural backdrop to its cultural landmarks.
