The town is particularly known for its elegant Renaissance and Baroque villas, built by noble Roman families in the 16th and 17th centuries as summer residences. These include the Villa Aldobrandini, Villa Torlonia, and Villa Falconieri. Frascati is also famous for its white wine production, with the local Frascati DOC wine being one of the oldest recognized wines in Italy.
