Keele is a village and civil parish in Staffordshire, England, most notably known as the home of Keele University.

The village, which dates back to medieval times, is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The area transformed significantly in the mid-20th century when the University College of North Staffordshire (now Keele University) was established in 1949, becoming the UK's first new university of the post-war era. The university's campus, set within Keele Hall's historic estate, features extensive grounds and woodlands.

The village maintains its historic character with notable buildings including St. John's Church, built in the 1870s, and several Victorian-era structures. While small in size, Keele's cultural significance is enhanced by its academic environment and the university's contribution to arts and sciences.
